Job DescriptionProvide agronomic service and support to sesame growers and service providers. This role will be critical to assist in the development and expansion of sesame in the United States. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Effectively communicate technical fit and benefits of sesame to specific production practices.Assist to overcome production challenges to raise yield and quality standards.Master sesame planting, weed control, nutrient management, and harvest.Provide superior service to producers to encourage repeat annual production.Maintain production estimates to increase logistic efficiency towards commercial sales to secure profit.Service growers with timely responses, meetings, and field demonstrations.Facilitate and develop educational and promotional items in hard materials or electronic media.Initiate purchase orders, generate expense report, and work within budgets set by the Director of Production.Assist in all duties of the Production Manager. Qualifications and Education RequirementsEducation and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor s Degree in an Agriculture/Life Science related discipline.On farm and agricultural equipment experience.Previous sales/service experience and knowledge of agricultural input or commodity marketing desirable.Skilled at negotiating win-win strategies, conflict resolution and handling objections by taking initiative and finding creative solutions.Effective use of various communication systems (MS Office, Salesforce, and others) About Sesaco Corporation and the Production DivisionSESACO is the premier genetic developer, processor, and marketer of U.S. grown sesame.
