The Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is looking for Solution Strategists to help steer our digital transformation initiatives within the industrial combustion industry. As a part of the Strategy & Solutions Development group, Solution Strategists are responsible for development of the vision and digital solution strategy for the markets that the Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) companies serve. KES is forming a new company focused on providing actionable insights for our customers to enable real time monitoring and optimization of their operations. We combine our deep subject matter expertise in combustion, distillation, separation, filtration with digital technology to deliver new solutions and technology to create value for our customers.

A successful Solution Strategist will have a passion for digital transformation, machine learning, AI IIOT (industrial internet of things), cloud computing, and ‘smart’ technologies. This individual we are seeking will have the initiative to maintain frequent and responsive communications with customers and internal resources. They will also have a high level of professionalism, self-awareness and intellectual honesty.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
  • Work closely with external owner/operator customers to develop a deep understanding of their applications and challenges
  • Identify digital transformation opportunities and technology gaps through collaboration with KES domain experts
  • Prioritize the opportunities and rapidly test assumptions to ensure the highest value solutions are being developed
  • Manage the technology development roadmaps to ensure the rapid evolution of our digital solution offerings
  • Present opportunities and development needs to the Solution Development/Engineering and Commercial teams
  • Communicate with customers, leadership, and KES team members to effectively establish product development roadmaps
  • Maintain potential opportunity lists and effectively prioritize workload in order to maximize value generation
  • Utilize a highly inquisitive nature to enable open-minded and creative problem-solving approaches
  • What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience working within refining or petrochemical industrial markets and applications
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30%
  • What Will Put You Ahead? Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a science, engineering, or computer science fields.
  • Fundamental knowledge and understanding of engineering principles, software development, data management and data science.
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in continuous learning.
  • Experience in customer negotiations, contractual terms, and/or experience developing intellectual property strategy or obligations.
  • Proven history of entrepreneurial activity. Experience leading innovative business models or product development efforts.
