The Senior Monitor, Community Corrections assists with the day-to-day operations of the facility and is responsible for the safety, security and facility sanitation. Provides a safe environment for the facility, staff, visitors and residents. Responsible for mentoring, training and providing developmental feedback to staff. Participates in employee, resident and agency grievance procedures.
High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. One year of experience in a security or corrections field is required. Six months supervisory experience in a correctional setting is preferred. Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques to complex issues. Must be available to work any hours, any shift. Must complete pre-service and other training programs as required. Experience in Microsoft Office or other similar software applications is required.
